221-313 Organizational Behavior 3(3-0-6)

Prerequisite – 221-211 Organizational Management

Course description: An overview of organizational behavior, OB theories and concepts, as well as individual, group, and team behavior in the workplace. Moreover, theories of motivation, politics, and power in the workplace, organizational structure, culture, and environment are all explored. In addition, it's essential to address decision-making, communication strategies, rewarding behaviors, different personalities, and cultural diversity.

Course learning outcome: 221-313 Organizational Behavior
1) Describe how organizational theory affects management techniques and analyze how an organization is structured to function in its environment.
2) Identify and examine dynamics of teams, techniques of team-building, and cultural diversity
3) Identify and analyze individual and group behaviors and their communication styles and decision making in organization
4) Select motivational theories to understand individual and group behavior and select rewards for them

This course will focus on achieving the following PLOs: PLO2 Analytical skills, PLO3 Innovative leadership, PLO5 Global perspectives of business.

Pre: 221-205 Principles of Marketing

Elements and factors that influence the success of brand, brand name, trade mark, copyright, logo and packaging design. Communication tools that create brand awareness of target group. Strategies used to create strong brand. Evaluation of brand success.

221-423 Independent Project
Prerequisite: 221-328 Research Methods
The focus of this course is on individual work to prepare academic papers or case studies or business projects while being guided by advisers and lectures.
