Course description:
Basic statistics and their application in the business environment. Topics covered included, central tendency and dispersion; probability distribution of random variables; and normal distribution. In addition, students will learn and practice hypothesis testing, correlation, and simple linear regression by utilizing a statistical programming package and using statistics for business decisions.

- Define the importance of statistics in business and research
- Analyze dispersion during uncertainty to take informed business decisions
- Analyze discrete and continuous probability distribution, hypotheses, the concept of p value
- Interpret correlation analysis, bivariate and multivariate regression analysis and plan for future decision making
